Love Wins – A Powerful Archive of LGBTQ Love Stories

To put it in Gia Goodrich’s own words, “there are still people all over the United States and the world who don’t understand, don’t value, and don’t support our relationships. Prejudice is very real, and there are still places in the US where couples can be shunned or attacked just for holding hands. We’ve come a long way, but the sad truth is that the vast majority of us in the LGBTQ community have felt isolated, shamed and questioned whether or not we’re lovable.”

What an absolutely beautiful photography project. From a technical perspective, I personally can’t help noticed the manner in how simple and graceful each portrait has been taken thus far but more deeper than that, I’m captivated by the raw and sincere stories of loving couples across the country. Of course I’ve Backed this project not just because I have very good friends who are gay and in relationships that happen to be just wonderful people but because everyone has a story to tell and if there’s one thing I’ve learned from just reading countless one is that stories help us connect more with people in a way that charts, graphs and statistics ever will.
