Today’s news is that my two new ebooks, The Black & White Landscape and The Black & White Landscape Companion, are available now as part of the 5DayDeal Complete Photography Bundle for the next four days only (click the link to go and learn more).
One of the exciting things about the 5DayDeal is that there are so many ebooks, video courses and Lightroom Develop Presets included in it. There is so much stuff that it’s really difficult to convey just how much educational material is included. One way to look at it is to tell you that it includes a year’s worth of learning material. That’s not an exaggeration. It would probably take most people more than that to work their way through all of the material.
Another way is to look at the figures. There’s 60+ hours of video tutorials, 450+ Lightroom Presets and more than 15 photography ebooks. All for just $97. If you bought them individually they would cost you over $2500!
For those of you interested in landscape photography there is a specific product within the bundle that I’d like to highlight.
It’s the Lightroom for Landscapes Signature Series: Black & White video course by Christopher O’Donnell of Creative Raw. I’ve watched most of the video course and I have to say I’m very impressed by what I’ve seen. Chris is one of those rare photographers who understands the creative process. This video course shows you the techniques required in Lightroom for processing black and white landscapes, and does so very well.
But Chris also talks a lot about the creative side of black and white landscape photography, covering concepts like discovering your creativity, forming a connection with the landscape, and processing according to the mood you want to express, rather than according to a formula.
The nice thing about this course is that it complements my two new black and white landscape ebooks very well. My ebooks cover the practical and creative side of black and white landscape photography, and this course shows you how to process your images in Lightroom.
All in all, I’m very impressed with it. Chris has a voice that’s very easy to listen to, he doesn’t speak too fast, and he’s expressive and articulate. You get lifetime access, and can download all the files and watch them offline. He even includes a Lightroom Catalog and Raw files of the images he uses in the demonstrations, so you can follow along and try out his techniques.
That’s enough about Chris – tomorrow I’ll tell you a little more about my two new ebooks.
