For the longest, I’ve been putting off the very task of culling through what I consider my best photographs which I believe represent the type of work I’m hoping to be known for. Luckily I’ve always been very good at organizing my work in Lightroom, so finding the best isn’t necessarily an issue but more so the choosing aspect that I find intimidating.
In my opinion, the most powerful portfolios are those that are not just straightforward to view but where you equally walk away with an emotional and memorable experience after having examining them. Surely if this is your first attempt at putting together a portfolio then you and I are in the same camp. During the recent Black Friday craze, I managed to snag a great deal on Joey L’s latest CreativeLive course which I would have been full price for no matter what. In it he essentially walks us through his personal printed portfolio as he provides you with tips on the best approach to creating yours.
I purchased his previous CreativeLive course which I highly recommend as well: Commercial Portraiture.
