I’m not a normal wedding photographer. Well, perhaps there’s no such thing… I say to clients all the time; find someone who you connect with. Find some one who will translate your story into a song. Life is a song. Love is a song. Find someone who wants to tell your song.
I look through these images and I tear up because I am aware of just how blessed I am and that’s because for a day in the life of Alex and Chris, I was opened to the life they are blessed with. We can all talk about the beautiful details, the beautiful dresses, the beautiful venues that comprise a wedding but none of it matters. A very close friend recently told me about #momentsovermountains, look it up. It’s fucking beautiful. It’s real. It’s genuine. These two people are just that. When I sat in front of these two for the very first time all that I did was listen. I watched. I observed. Then I left with a smile on my face. There’s a truth out there and we all confuse it and that truth is love. These two are the real deal and that stuff makes me tick. Seeing what I witnessed when we met, which was only a glimpse of what was to come made my day, hell it made my week.
I’m not going to talk about anything else. This was my first wedding of the season and I am a better person for having witnessed it. The one thing I will say is thank you. Thank you to Alex and Chris for being you. For letting me into your lives for a day and for being as kind as you were and are. You have a piece of my heart and I hope in turn I can offer you a piece of mine.
So with that said, here is what happened when two became one…
