I often tell clients that I prefer shooting couples to weddings. It’s not true. Well, it is and it isn’t. You see the first time I shoot a couple they are in their most vulnerable state, often having never been photographed before, they are unsure what to expect. The whole process is one of intimacy and understanding, we learn about each other and I walk away feeling i’ve shared in a piece of their hearts. There are so many things that are occurring at a wedding that it’s just so nice to take an afternoon out with no agenda and shoot. Amy and Joel were a little bashful at first and wanted to have the shoot as a bit of preparation for their wedding. What ensued however was an afternoon of adventure, laughter and love, slightly goose bumped skin and some of my favourite photos as a result.
It’s pretty darn clear how in love these two are, which is cool cause they are getting married this weekend and I reckon you can figure who is gonna be there to document it.
Amy and Joel, you were perfect. Real, loving and amazing… Let’s take a few snaps this weekend.
